The programme contained presentations on a variety of topics, such as label market statistics, food contact regulations, risk management, social climate, educational models for the label and packaging industry.

Due to health issues the chairman of judges, Tony White, was forced to withdraw, but he kept a watchful eye over the team through a skype connection. His duties were taken over by Mike Fairley, an internationally known writer, publisher and consultant in the printing, packaging, security and label industries, who was willing to step in.
Although the quality of the printing remains at an encouragingly high level, the judges were more critical of the entries on some aspects.

The award ceremony was held on Friday, 6 June in Monaco, on the occasion of the annual FINAT congress.

After dealing with the regular agenda, which included items as the strategy plan 2014-2018, financial matters, the preparation of the General Assembly 2014, the Executive Board was joined by CPC’s chairman Niklas Olsson to discuss the future format of the congress. As of 2015 the FINAT congress will be restructured in order to reflect the dynamic vision of the label industry. After this meeting, a meeting took place with the moderator of this year’s FINAT Congress, Marc Büttgenbach, to prepare the upcoming congress in Monaco.
FINAT Managing Director, Jules Lejeune, was invited to give an update on the global label market statistics. He also took the opportunity to explain FINAT’s future strategy and to thank the French association for their cooperation in defending the interests of the self- adhesive label industry. “Not only do we serve the same industry, we also share the mission of expanding and strengthening the market for our members. But at the same time, we complement each other by ever closer communication and collaboration and by aligning our mission and vision,” Mr Lejeune stated.
