It could be argued that this label should be entered in the Security category. However it is a good example of well printed flexo with very sharp and legible small type faces. The colours are bright and the embossing adds an extra depth to the final result. There are many covert security features built into this label.

for Tatoos Famosa
An interesting set of labels which are inserted into bags of sweets. The tattoos are printed on both sides, one to protect the tattoo and the other to allow the application of a special adhesive. The tattoos are printed using flexo on a transparent PP base with an opaque white backing colour and a transparent lacquer to ensure the correct transfer of the tattoo.

This label shows

the abilities of
Royston Labels.
On one label they
have managed to
include flexo and
screen printing
with satin cold foil,
spot lamination,
spot varnish and a
raised screen
varnish amongst
other techniques. The
end result is a delightfully delicate rendering of a butterfly which does the company credit.

As always there is a delightful story behind the entries from Cabas. They have not disappointed this time describing the word anassa as meaning queen. In this series of labels unexpec- ted icons of legendary mythological creatures are used in a humorous and whimsical way to denote the unique flavours of the premium teas. Only two colours were used for these flexo printed labels. The end use of the label encapsulates biodegradable filters along with wooden sticks to support them in the mugs. An entertaining way to present some special teas.

using 4 colours. A clean
and straightforward diamond shaped label with the main name highlighted in an attractive red colour mirroring the colour of
the product inside the bottle. A gold ink adds interest to the end
result.
Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. KG., Germany for Parts Marking Label with Authentication Features
A really small but powerful label with several embedded authentication features. This label is used to identify the original products and cannot be copied successfully so ensuring security for the manufacturer and the end user. The degree of control in the flexo and offset printing to achieve this result is considerable.
