On 18 January, a FINAT delegation of Board member Svend Joergensen, Jules Lejeune and Jakovina van Haeringen met with 4impression in Amsterdam to plan the next steps for the revision of the Educational Handbook.
From 26 - 28 January, the FINAT (Sub) Committees and Board met in Zurich for their winter meetings. A special meeting at this occasion was the meeting with the release liner industry and other stakeholders to discuss initiatives to promote sustainability and recycling, and to obtain support for a jointly funded professional lobbying campaign concerning the classification of release liners as NOT packaging. The Board approved the proposal to install a part- time FINAT issues and recycling project manager at the secretariat.

On 4 February, following a delay for medical reasons, the Digital Taskforce resumed its work at a teleconference.
On 16 February, FINAT President Kurt Walker and Cycle4Green director Petri Tani lectured at the BPIF Labels symp- osium held at the occasion of the Easyfairs packaging exhibition in Birmingham (UK). Purpose: to raise awareness about recycling solutions and to demonstrate the benefit of association collaboration.
On 21 February, the release liner lobby task force (also involving leaders from the national associations) held a teleconf- erence to prepare a lobbying campaign in preparation of the EU Packaging Comm- ittee’s meeting planned for 23 March.

On 3 March, the internal testing phase of the FINAT Website and Community commenced.
On 7 March, a meeting took place of the Digital Testing Taskforce in Amsterdam.
On 10 March, FINAT and web marketing specialist Bert van Loon met to discuss the rollout plan for the new website and community.
15 March: FINAT liner lobby conference call, final lobby actions for EU meeting 23 March.
On 16 March, FINAT President Andrea Vimercati chaired the 4th edition of the L9 meeting, again in Florida on the occasion of the TLMI converter meeting.
On 21 March, a conference call took place between Tarsus, FINAT and the national label associations of Germany and France to commence preparations for the Operators Day at Labelexpo Europe on 1 October.
On 24 March, a conference call took place with the Recycling Taskforce established after the meeting on 27
January in Zurich to discuss the project proposal prepared by the secretariat in collaboration with Board member Thomas Baumgärtner.
From 28 – 29 March, the FINAT Young Managers Club met in Vienna at their first Young Managers Summit. In attendance: 30 out of the 60 members of the under 40 Club.
