NEW TITLES COMING UP
Further handbook titles are also scheduled to be ready before Labelexpo Europe, including ‘Label dispensing and application technology’, ‘Label embellishing’ and ‘Label die-cutting and tooling’. Other titles are also in the planning stages.
It is hoped that by Labelexpo Europe many of the early registered supporters of the Label Academy and those that have successfully completed examinations, as well as the leading label associations, will be able to provide detailed feedback and testimonials of the Academy’s benefits.
At Labelexpo Europe itself there will be a full global launch of the Label Academy, supported by an Academy stand area, Handbook sales and regular demonstrations of the website and the study and examination process.
Two Label Academy Masterclass sessions are also planned for Labelexpo Europe: one on Conventional Label Printing Processes, and one on Digital Label and Package Printing.

These will provide preparation for those looking to take Label Academy examinations on these two subjects. The Masterclass fee will include a copy of the appropriate Handbook, and entry for the relevant examination.
ENDORSEMENT BY LABEL INDUSTRY ASSOCIATIONS
With the Label Academy already endorsed by FINAT, TLMI and LMAI, other associations and leading supplier companies are also looking to endorse and support the education and training initiative and it hoped to announce some of these at Labelexpo.
TOWARDS A BETTER EDUCATED WORKFORCE
Momentum towards a full education and training programme, endorsed by label industry associations, and supported by many leading industry suppliers and label converters, is now well on its way. Labelexpo Europe should see the industry start to fully adopt the Label Academy as a major initiative towards a better educated and more knowledgeable workforce – and a successful industry future.
