Raflatac had been invited to share their views on the label industry’s current and future approach to environmental sustainability, identified as one of the priority areas of interest among the global label associations. Following the briefing meeting at Labelexpo Asia in November, a small task force of sustainability experts under the guidance of FINAT had been installed to prepare the agenda for this part of the meeting. Lintec and Label Shimbun gave extensive support in preparing a first- class side programme including visits to Toyota and Osaka Seal Printing. At the meeting, agreement was reached about a new, streamlined breakdown of the World Label Awards categories, redesigned to better reflect market breakdown. The new category breakdown will be used for this years’ judging of entries.
