benefit to the fullest from your membership: connect!
This first release of your online FINAT community enables you to connect with other members worldwide at the moment of your choice. This is of unlimited potential value in addition to the existing possibilities of meeting other members at conventions and events. Once you activate your profile, you can enter the members only area, giving you access to a vast amount of exclusive FINAT information (market, technical, education etc.) and the contact details and profiles of all other FINAT members. Below you will find how to start particip- ating in the FINAT online community in three quick steps. It will only take you a few minutes to complete and activate your personal account.
step 1: login
Click on the orange “Members Area” button (top right hand side) and you will be able to enter your e-mail address and password to access the member community. As this community is only accessible for FINAT members, you need to use your company e-mail address to obtain access. The domain of your e-mail address is automatically checked against the domains in the FINAT member company database.
a few hints:
• When you first visit the member section of the new FINAT site you are required to create a new password. For reasons of security all passwords in the old/current FINAT website are
encrypted and therefore cannot be transferred to the new website. Just use the “Forgot password” link and enter your e-mail address. You will receive a coded link in your e-mail box and you will be able to enter by creating a new password.
• If you did not have an account on the old FINAT website, you do not need to ask for a new password but you can register by using the ‘Register’ button on the login screen (see below).
• Every member account needs a unique e-mail address, corresponding with the domain of a member company, to be used as the user name.
• If you use a shared e-mail address (like info@mycompany.com) other users of that e-mail address have access to that account as well (making it less personal and sharing one password), or other users should use their own company e-mail address.
• If for any reason your e-mail address does not match the domain as registered with your company membership, please send an e-mail to info@finat.com stating your e-mail address, your company name and
company website and your name. We will try to help you find the best solution to obtain access to the members area.
Create extra individual member access for your colleagues, within your FINAT company membership. Choose the white “Register” button and you will be directed to the procedure to create a new account with an existing FINAT membership as shown on the next page. If your e-mail address corresponds to the domain of a member company you will receive a coded access link in your e-mailbox, enabling you to complete your member area account.
step 2: complete your profile
Once you have completed your login, you have full access to the exclusive member content and services. However, before you continue, please take one minute to complete your profile. It will enable other members to know who you are and optimize your network possibil- ities within the FINAT online community. You can upload your profile picture, and enter your job and contact details.
