So make sure your company data is up to date and your products are correctly registered. Currently, a lot of companies have selected all technologies they use, rather than the products and services they supply to the market. In 2014, companies will be stimulated to check this and to correct their data.
COMING UP NEXT: THE FINAT CHANNEL
For 2014, the PR & Communications Subcommittee has again prepared a prioritization report. The main objectives remain the same, increasing the number of visitors and maintaining the level of activity. This year however, more attention will be given to revitalising and promoting the Members Area hence more members can benefit from these great downloads and free exposure.
On strategic level, the subcommittee will establish a mission statement and will keep working together with the Community Manager. Thus the active subgroup can continue monitoring the online community and focus on online visibility.
Important new online initiatives to keep an eye on this year are:
• A maintained frequency of FINAT blogs, prepared by volunteers and professionals active in FINAT and where necessary with professional editing support
• Regular FINAT Polls to collect the opinions of FINAT members on pending matters
• FINAT will also be making more use of promotional videos (as done at the previous congress and seminar) to extensively visualize the FINAT activities. Regular video interviews and briefings will appear on FINAT’s Business Channel (fig. 4, more info will follow soon). Starting this autumn, each half year, FINAT will produce a video highlighting some key statistical findings from the FINAT RADAR.
• A series of Pilot Webinars on management and technology issues to test the potential of our online platforms for e-learning and information exchange. As a first pilot, the FINAT Young Managers Club will organise a series of webinars on management skills (first webinar was held on 27 May 2014). This autumn, FINAT will also be scheduling a webinar on printed electronics.
