positioning as a sustainable industry. The L9’s sustainability declaration adopted in 2010 and amended in 2012 is being implemented across associations worldwide.
• Connecting the incoming generation of business leaders globally via the young managers clubs of the different regional associations. In 2012, FINAT was the first to organise a global young managers summit in Berlin. In 2014, TLMI will host the second edition in Michigan.
• Providing a virtual portal for L9 members to share documents, exchange programmes, and reach out to peers in other associations via a global contacts network. It is FINAT’s aim to also connect the NAB member associations to this portal.
By actively engaging itself in the L9 framework, FINAT aims to anticipate the growing need for global business partnerships and networks as well as common standards and best practices in a market demanding them. Often standards and regulations in the developed markets are taken as the global standard and in this respect FINAT has an important role to play.
