form, in February 2013 (kick-off, 6 months before the show), in June 2013 (at the FINAT Congress), in November 2013 (to evaluate the operational performance of the show) and once on the occasion of the FINAT congress 2014 (to evaluate progress in the approach to the next editions of Labelexpo Europe in 2015 and beyond).
ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR
The LAB’s accomplishments so far can be summarised as follows:
• A checklist of areas for improvement was drafted and a list
of key performance indicators for 2013 was agreed with
Labelexpo;
• Show results were jointly evaluated in FINAT together with
a stakeholder group of FINAT exhibitor members at an open
‘Labelexpo Forum’ in Amsterdam (October 2013);
• On-line satisfaction questionnaires were held under the
auspices of FINAT (September-October 2013): one for
exhibitors and one for visitors;
• Feedback from the Forum and surveys was discussed at the
LAB meeting in November 2013;
• Priority areas of improvement were defined for 2015;
• The LAB were consulted on Labelexpo preliminary findings
as to possible alternative venues for the show after 2015.
On behalf of the management of Labelexpo, recently appointed Managing Director Lisa Milburn, who has succeeded Roger Pellow (now Chairman), welcomes the positive and constructive spirit of the LAB: “It is a pleasure to continue working with FINAT. We have enjoyed a long and close working relationship and this has been a central to
Labelexpo’s continued success. FINAT’s understanding of and insights into the European and international label and package printing market are a tremendous asset for shaping the content of Labelexpo. That and our own industry expertise undeniably
makes Labelexpo the perfect place for printers and industry suppliers to expand and grow into new markets around the world.”
On behalf of the FINAT Member Exhibitors, Ralf Drache, Sales Director at Herma, comments: “Labelexpo Europe is THE exhibition for our industry. Most of the leading exhibitors are member of FINAT. For every self- respecting label company, going there is simply a must. It is the interest of all parties concerned, that optimum
conditions are provided for business-to-business exchange and that the facilities are top quality. Thanks to the good cooperation, in 2013 we have already seen significant improvements and for the upcoming edition, we should see the results of further measures in areas like ticketing, internet connectivity, public transport and catering, all services that directly affect the satisfaction of visitors and exhibitors.”
