A PAN-EUROPEAN PROJECT -
THE POWER OF PARTNERSHIPS
Referring back to FINAT’s ongoing Radar survey, the challenge of attracting a next generation of skilled creative and technical talents is not only a top-3 priority but also a substantial pan-European defy for the industry leadership.
The #LABELicious initiative resonated with many stakeholders, resulting in an industry wide and pan-European support by 30 businesses and brands.
We cannot thank all partners enough for their support of this first edition of the #LABELicious competition. We sincerely believe that these shared challenges can successfully be confronted with joined forces and long-term commitments.
The three platinum partners, Avery Dennison, Gallus and HP, took the lead in offering a unique experience week for each winner of one of the three competition categories. Our international Industry Partners Avery Zweckform, Evonik, Herma, Hueck Folien and Securikett joined the partner circle to provide international backing across Europe. Labelexpo, together with Labels & Labeling and the Label Academy added their international network power to the partner alliance and enabled visibility of the winners during Labelexpo 2019.
As important as our international partners, is the backing by a large number of national leaders in the various countries in Europe. The National Industry Partners Germark, Forlabels , LABEL’OR, OPM Group, Reynders Label Printing and Stratus Packaging played a crucial role in localising the #LABELicious

competition and building connections to the educational networks in their respective countries. Although we are only at the beginning of developing further relationships with educational institutions in the field of packaging, design and engineering, the results of industry-education collaboration for this first edition of #LABELicious show the potential of which all stakeholders can benefit. After Labelexpo 2019, we will publish a few interviews with national partners and their educational counterpart on the competition website (www. Labelicious.eu) to serve as inspiration for the years to come.
The National presence is further strengthened through the partnerships of most European National or Regional Associations and specialised national B2B media. #LABELicious is extremely grateful for the continuous support by VskE, Labelpack, Printcareer.net and Etiketten-Labels in Germany, ELSET and Allpack in Greece, GIPEA in Italy, ESD in Turkey, GREMI in Catalunya, Grafiska in Sweden, UNFEA in France, BPiF Labels in the United Kingdom, and Świat DRUKU in Poland. The power of diversity and collaboration towards a common goal, could never have been demonstrated more powerfully.
The power of partnerships has contributed to the success of this first edition of #LABELicious. We believe that the potential of visibility and impact through collaboration of this partner network over the next years is still in its early stages and can be multiplied substantially. This was the proverbial big step for the individual label industry partners and a huge step for their shared impact, while being a first step of a long and attractive journey at the same time.
